Our president spent our money to fly AF1 to Miami and then spent more of our money flying Marine 1 to promote his golf course where he will attend a closed-door dinner promoting a Saudi golf league that makes him money.
Top Gun (1985)
Val Kilmer has about 10 minutes screen time in Top Gun. That's how good he was. Top Gun was also released just one year after Real Genius, Val moved from goofy teen movies to the coolness of Iceman without even breaking a sweat. He was incredible.
RIP, Val Kilmer
On each side of the dual carriageway is a BP refuelling station. One sells petrol etc and a sign clearly gives the price per litre. The other is exclusively an electric charging station. Not a hint of a sign giving the price per kWh. Why does the law treat them so differently?

Argh! I just cocked up with a spam/scam call. My mobile rang, a number I didn't recognise. I answered. An obviously automated female voice said
"I want to talk to you about work. Please add me on What's App." Then rang off.
As I answered, they'll now have logged that my number is real. So I (& anyone else who's done the same) now need be vigilant for a wave of spam messages and calls coming my way.
PC Nicholson accompanies Joan to the bank to pay her savings back in after we recovered her money following a fraud. Unscrupulous individuals, pretending to be from "Barclays Fraud Team" convinced Joan to send cash in the post. Never send cash, never give cash to a courier.
Steve McQueen was born on this day in 1930.
I'm sure everyone has their favourite King of Cool moment, but for me, it’s every second he’s on screen as Hilts 'The Cooler King' in The Great Escape (1963).
Iconic barely covers it.
Happy Birthday, William Shatner
The Twilight Zone: Nightmare at 20,000 (1963)
One of the most iconic episodes in one of the best TV shows ever still resonates as a shorthand for the fear of flying. If you get a chance to catch the full version, watch it, it's brilliant.
