Excited to share accepted paper from my student @Gopal_YVR on drought physiology.
Osmotic Adjustment (turgor, leaf hydration, & growth maintenance) is important for drought tolerance in CWRS wheat!
First step towards breeding wheat for drought tolerance.

4 years ago, I was proud to walk on stage to get my PhD, today I am even prouder when my first MSc student walked on stage!! Well done @Gopal_YVR
P.S., wheat has to be in the bouquet 😀
My @usask regalia didn’t arrive on time so had to wear boring black one!
Pleased to share our results on wheat stripe rust pathogenomics work led by @Erysiphales with new discoveries! 1/n

Many congratulations to Gopal Sharma @Gopal_YVR who is the first student to defend his thesis from my program
If you are interested in reading about his research, here's the link to his first MSc paper: https://t.co/X8JtIHruz9
Excellent drought physiology work by our MSc student @Gopal_YVR (thesis defence in March). We studied 3 wheat cvs. Superb, Stettler, AAC Viewfield for stomatal behaviour, leaf rolling, osmotic adjustment, kernel development in context of drought tolerance.
