The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) writes a letter to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi urging them to ban the sale of Pakistani flags and merchandise on E-commerce platforms.
OUTRAGE! While India strikes at terror factories in Pakistan with Operation Sindoor, @amazonIN & @Flipkart are PROFITING from the sale of Pakistani flags, mugs, and t-shirts within our borders! This is a DISGRACE!
Selling symbols of a nation that sponsors terrorism against India is an act of blatant disrespect and undermines our national security. These items must be IMMEDIATELY and PERMANENTLY BANNED!
We demand action!

VICTORY for Indian consumers and domestic trade! AIMRA India applauds the government's new policies addressing the long-standing issue of e-commerce malpractices. After 11 years of raising our voice against dark patterns and the sale of fake/reused goods impacting millions, action is here. The blatant misuse of FDI and Press Note policies by e-commerce giants must end with stringent measures. Consumer is King – let's uphold their rights!

Dear @SamsungIndia & Korea Management, the outcry from Indian retailers is deafening! Price disparities, M/F series exclusivity, and EOL S series offer discrepancies are CRIPPLING businesses nationwide. From Delhi, Ahemdabad, Cuttack, Panipat, Gajiyabad to Chandigarh, retailers are protesting unfair practices. #Jaipur, #chittorgarh #Udaipur returned stocks, and now #Chandigarh is on the streets. Your biased online support and anti-competitive policies are killing mainline retail and eroding your market share. #Consumers are NOT being cheated by us; they are victims of YOUR unfair & anticompetitive policies. We demand a level playing field. Stop forcing consumers online and let fair competition prevail.

Jaipur Mobile Retailers and AIMRA Rajasthan Leaders Stand United Against Anti-Retailer Samsung Policies in India.
@SamsungIndia@SamsungMobile@Samsung
To Whom It May Concern at Samsung India,
Let it be unequivocally clear: the mobile retailers of Jaipur, backed by the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) leaders, are no longer willing to tolerate Samsung's detrimental policies that actively undermine our businesses. Your own platform, https://t.co/gN9utbxvVR, has become our biggest competitor, far surpassing the impact of other e-commerce entities.
Samsung's blatant bias, unfair in supporting e-commerce platforms while disregarding our demand for a level playing field has ignited widespread anger amongst retailers across India. This isn't a crime; it's a fundamental plea for fair business practices. Loyal Samsung customers are also echoing this demand, recognizing the injustice.
Despite numerous peaceful meetings with your Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Super Premium Distributor (SPD) in Jaipur, our concerns have been met with inaction. As a direct consequence of this persistent disregard, retailers in Rajasthan have taken decisive action. We have returned over ₹5 Crore worth of Samsung stock and, just yesterday, returned all demo phones.
Let this serve as a powerful message: our focus is now shifting. We will be channeling our energy and resources towards brands that value their Mainline (Offline) retail partners – @Apple, @Vivo_India, @nothingindia, @motorolaindia, and @oppo will be our priority.
Samsung, your current trajectory is pushing your dedicated retail network away. Reconsider your policies before it's too late. The ball is now in your court.
Sincerely,
The Mobile Retailers of Jaipur & AIMRA Rajasthan Leaders

जयपुर के मोबाइल विक्रेता और AIMRA राजस्थान के नेता भारत में सैमसंग की खुदरा-विरोधी नीतियों के खिलाफ एकजुट
@SamsungIndia@SamsungMobile@Samsung
IMMEDIATE ACTION DEMANDED: END SAMSUNG'S UNFAIR AND UNLAWFUL PRACTICES DESTROYING INDIAN RETAIL AND THREATENING NATIONAL SECURITY⛔
To the Highest Levels of @SamsungIndia Management,
This is not merely a complaint; it is a demand for immediate cessation of your destructive and unlawful business practices in India. Your current policies have made it impossible for us, and countless other retailers, to effectively sell products like the Black Boxes of @SamsungMobile.
Despite our repeated and ignored warnings, the situation has spiraled into an outright assault on fair trade. The blatant pricing disparities and discriminatory promotional schemes, now shamelessly displayed even on your own E-Store, are a direct insult to our businesses. This cancerous inequality has metastasized beyond premium models, now infecting the sales of even your smaller devices.
Our intent is simple: fair business, a level playing field where mutual success is possible. We want to move your Black Box inventory and your other products. Yet, your actions scream that Samsung no longer values equitable and transparent partnerships.
The consequences of your arrogance are now manifesting. Around Hundred respected mobile retailers from #Jaipur, in a powerful act of protest, have already returned Black Box stock worth approximately ₹5 crore. This is not an isolated incident. Soon, over ₹50 crore of stock will be returned from Rajasthan alone, and a staggering ₹500 crore is projected to be returned from retailers across India.
We sincerely hope that the sheer scale of this revolt jolts Samsung into acknowledging the catastrophic seriousness of this issue. Prompt and decisive action towards a fair and balanced resolution is no longer a request – it is a non-negotiable imperative.
Failure to act will leave @AimraIndia with no alternative but to call for an immediate all-India Leader's meeting and initiate a nationwide boycott of Samsung mobiles in general trade.
Our demands are unequivocal: @Samsung management must immediately address these egregious issues and guarantee equal opportunities for all trade partners. This requires an immediate end to unethical exports and the anti-competitive business practices detailed in the @CCI_India report.
Let us be absolutely clear: if Samsung continues to disrespect Indian retailers and consumers, we will escalate this fight to the highest levels. We will not hesitate to seek the intervention of the Hon’ble Commerce and Industry Minister Shri @PiyushGoyal ji Hon'ble Consumer Affairs Ministery Shri @JoshiPralhad and the esteemed trade leader and Member of Parliament, Shri @PKhandelwal_MP ji.
Samsung’s biased, unfair, and anti-competitive trade practices are not just unethical; they are a blatant violation of #FDI policy and a direct act of cheating Indian consumers.
Furthermore, Samsung's unfair, anti-competitive, and unlawful business practices in India are directly causing the closure of retail stores and exacerbating unemployment across the nation.
The deliberate strategy of providing M&F Series phones with exclusive and preferential supplies ecommerce platforms , coupled with deep discounting on Black Boxes in Online, is fueling the grey market and illicit exports, all seemingly to protect the jobs and inflated salaries and incentives of your Indian management who appear utterly indifferent to the devastation of the Indian economy and domestic trade. We demand that the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) must immediately investigate these suspicious transactions.
Adding a gravely concerning dimension to this crisis, Samsung employees have reportedly forced retailers into pre-activation of stocks, a reckless practice solely aimed at safeguarding their own positions, with utter disregard for National security. We implore Shri @PKhandelwal_MP ji to escalate this critical threat to the @HMOIndia to prevent potential terror activities, drawing a chilling parallel to incidents like the Pahalgam attack.
🎉 एमरा लीडर्स की ओर से श्री प्रवीण खंडेलवाल जी को जन्मदिन की बहुत-बहुत बधाईयाँ। आपका जीवन हमेशा प्रसन्न और समृद्धिमय रहे।
🎉 Team AIMRA leaders extend warm wishes for a Happy Birthday to Shri @praveendel Khandelwal ji! May you continue to live a happy and healthy life.😊💪🌿🍎

🛍️ Urgent intervention needed from Commerce & Industry Minister Shri @PiyushGoyal! The potential collusion between OEMs & e-commerce platforms could harm festival sales, lead to losses for the exchequer, & jeopardize employment. Let's protect our economy & support the domestic retailers . @praveendel

Never ever make the mistake of buying electronic devices from @Flipkart or @amazonIN . I bought a Samsung phone from @Flipkart which has turned out to be defective and they make it impossible for you to return it. Same thing happened with @amazonIN last week for another item.
🔗 AIMRA #Jharkhand had a productive digital meeting with @Bajaj_Finserv to discuss the challenges #retailers face in the state. Mr. Rohit Sabat and Mr. Manoj from Bajaj addressed the issues and shared insights on how the brand is working to support retailers in the current market.
Consumers are increasingly interested in purchasing the latest smartphones. BajajFinserv's finance options, easy process, zero down payment, and on-the-spot delivery make this more accessible. However, there are also challenges, such as cross-selling, cash funding practices, and #DBD charges, that are impacting retailers.💥🔨
We believe that brands like BajajFinserv have the potential to address these issues and take honest responsibility. Financers must take a transparent and fair approach to support retailers in dealing with these challenges.🤞🏻🔍📝
Let's work towards finding practical solutions together! 🤝🤔🔄

Today they are promoting online markets someday they will say that the #Chinese brands are cheaper than the #indian brands without caring for the direct effect it will have on the Indian economy. I request everyone to enquire offline stores themselves and compare the reality
If a celebrity and idol like @SrBachchan sir would mislead the community, downgrading the offline Market, he is being so unfair with the genuine dealers who provide the same or even more facilities for it's customers without even actually visiting a offline store himself.
📢 AIMRA India stands firm in condemning Shri @SrBachchan for his misleading ads against mobile retailers in India. Such misleading ads undermine the hard work and credibility of our industry. 🚫📱
We at AIMRA India are deeply disappointed by the recent actions of Shri Amitabh Bachchan. As one of the most respected actors in India, his influential presence carries immense responsibility. Unfortunately, he has chosen to endorse misleading advertisements that target and undermine the mobile retailers in our country.
📢 It is crucial to raise our collective voice against such misleading campaigns that not only hurt our businesses but also misguide consumers. Mobile retailers play a pivotal role in providing genuine products and after-sales services, contributing significantly to the growth of the mobile industry. By spreading false information, these ads are not only damaging our business but also eroding the trust that consumers have in our services.
🚫📱 The hard work and dedication of mobile retailers should not be discredited in this manner. We have invested our time, resources, and efforts to provide customers with the best mobile devices and services. It is disheartening to see a respected figure like Shri Amitabh Bachchan associating himself with misleading advertisements, causing harm to our industry.
We urge everyone to stand united with us and raise their voice against such misleading practices. Let's spread awareness and bring justice! Together, we can ensure that the efforts of mobile retailers are recognised and appreciated.
