@myinvestopia@GlobalWatchClub The fewer people sell their watches on the grey market, the lower the supply and higher the price. If everyone decided to sell, they’d all be worth less. Plus when Patek sells you a watch, they envision you passing it on for generations, not something you flip for profit.
@myinvestopia@GlobalWatchClub Stallone definitely paid for it but because it trades several million over retail, they are essentially gifting him $3-4 million dollars by giving him an allocation. Stallone is within his right to sell it but that’s a good way for Patek to never give him an allocation again.
@GlobalWatchClub This isn’t a watch that was built to actually be worn, it was built so Patek could flex its watchmaking prowess. It’s more a museum type piece that looks better in a glass box than on someone’s wrist. It’s also massive. Maybe once a year around the house you wear but not anymore
@coogrfan@CollegeFBonX@Psulioninsider1 I’m sure they could have put in more seats in the same space if maximizing capacity was the primary goal. They wanted to purposely downsize from 47k to create a more intimate setting. Fan experience is higher priority than capacity these days with new stadiums.
@Iunderstand41@CollegeFBonX Because their 47k stadium was too big for them and they wanted a more intimate setting. Northwestern has the smallest alumni base as well as the most geographically diverse alumni base in the Big Ten so they are never going to get big crowds.
@CollegeFBonX@fakexavierrr The stadium will last for the next 70-100 years. I doubt in 10-20 years they’ll be looking back and thinking “Yeah, this stadium is nice but I wish we had used it for NIL instead.” They’ll be glad they took care of the stadium issue first, then they can focus on NIL.
@crofts@goosesniffduck They do make them with the bracelet if you want that configuration. Also the finishing on the movement is much better than what you get at the Rolex, Omega and even JLC level.
@polyslav@Polymarket They actually never teased a Royal oak. Those were just AI mockups of what people thought it might look like. They did however tease a lanyard so it’s not surprising if you were following the clues they were putting out.
@dss201222@FadeRetail@ModernNotoriety Nothing official from AP, Swatch or any watch related publication. The burden of proof falls on you to prove that it's real, not on us to prove that it's not fake.
@cokainecowboy88@AshleyDCan Yeah, I know. I already told you Omega, Longines and Tissot from the Swatch Group are ahead of the Swatch brand. But you weren’t talking about the group as a whole, you were talking about Swatch the brand. Even if you are talking the whole group, Richmont is also above Swatch.
@mdogholland@allthingsmn Exactly. At the time I was puzzled why the Spurs agreed to the trade considering their pick that we gave them likely won’t be as high at top 8.
@cokainecowboy88@AshleyDCan Swatch only comes in at 15th among Swiss watch brands in terms of revenue and are only fourth in their own group behind Omega, Longines and Tissot. In fact entire Swatch Group makes less revenue than Rolex ($12.5 billion vs $8.1 billion).
