Happy to share that KIIT & KISS have been recognised by the FIT India Movement as Model Campuses for the Vehicle-Free Campus Initiative and felicitated with the FERN Award.
This recognition gives us great happiness because it is connected with health, fitness, cycling, clean mobility and care for the environment.
A bicycle is not only a means of transport. It is a simple friend of health, discipline and nature. At KIIT and KISS, we always try to encourage our students and staff to follow healthy and eco-friendly practices in daily life.
I am thankful to FIT India, Sports Authority of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, for recognising the efforts of KIIT and KISS.

Indian cuisine conversations often revolve around Punjabi, South Indian or Bengali food. Odiya cuisine deserves a much bigger place on that table.
What struck me most was its restraint. No overload of cream, butter or chillies. Just balance, mustard, fermentation, texture and freshness.
Dahi Bara Aloo Dum (popular street food), Drumstick-Brinjal Besara, Chhena Tarkari, Chakuli Pitha (like dosa) Aloo Patra Besara… all made at home.
I always knew I would come back to India !
(Rajesh Gopakumar, IIT-JEE Rank 1)
After doing PhD at Princeton under Nobel Laureate David Gross and Postdoc at Harvard. He could have built a career at any top university in the US but he chose to came back
Because his education at IIT was subsidized by the Govt of India, he decided to return to help build new institutions in an evolving India and give back to the country.
Today, as Director of ICTS, he is creating a truly open, cutting-edge intellectual environment and mentoring next generation of students right here in India
I feel very happy to share that my lovable KISS children have once again made us proud in the Class 10 Board Examination with 100% results.
A total of 2031 students appeared, and all of them passed. It is also a matter of happiness that nearly 50% of the students have secured first division. Among 131 children from primitive tribal communities, 46 students have secured first division. I feel especially happy that Suchita Soren has secured 94.66% as the school topper.
Year after year, this has become a beautiful tradition at KISS. When children from the most remote and deprived backgrounds do so well, it shows what care, opportunity and education can do in a child’s life.
My heartfelt congratulations to all my children, teachers, staff and everyone who has been part of this journey. My blessings and best wishes are always with my KISS children.
Happy to share that KIIT Deemed to be University has been ranked 6th among all universities in India, across both government and private institutions, in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2026. It has also emerged as the No. 1 university in Odisha and in the entire eastern region of India. Globally, KIIT has risen to 169th position in Asia, improving from 184 in 2025 and 196 in 2024.
This is a proud and happy moment for all of us. It is the result of the continuous effort of our students, teachers, staff and everyone associated with KIIT. My heartfelt thanks to all for their dedication and support. My best wishes to the entire KIIT family.
Payal Nag.
Daughter of a daily-wage mason from Odisha.
Electrocuted at the age of eight. Lost all four limbs.
And then, found a bow.
Spotted through her paintings by coach Kuldeep Vedwan, the same man who shaped world champion Sheetal Devi.
Defeated her idol Sheetal Devi at the World Para Archery Series Final in Bangkok, April, 2026
Whenever I am feeling low or sorry for myself I will look at these images of Payal & Sheetal again & remind myself what the words: Courage, Resilience & Positive thinking, really mean.
These champions are not just my #MondayMotivation.
They will be a source of motivation Every. Single. Day
Odisha is no stranger to India’s tourism circuit.
From the timeless Konark & Jagannath Temples, to the sands of Puri Beach and the vastness of Chilika Lake.
But it seems that if you venture deeper into the state you discover landscapes that are every bit as spectacular.
Duduma Falls in Koraput district where the Machkund River plunges dramatically off a rocky cliff is one such marvel.
It’s a reminder that India’s beauty is inexhaustible. Just when you think you’ve seen it all… another wonder appears.
