This is a fantastic cohort. Delighted and honoured that I'm getting to know these folks and learning about their work first-hand. Ravi's course (https://t.co/x5rhLKBenq) is a must-watch-and-learn for all fundraisers in the sector. Thank you @storyrulesindia
danaVrddhi is a cohort-based programme to help institutionalize retail fundraising within organizations. Spanning 16 weeks this programme uses a 4-Phase LIFE "active learning by doing" methodology to lay the foundation for continued retail fundraising.
No-brainer right? I often have NGOs asking how can I get more donors. And these are largely orgs who never keep in touch with their existing donors beyond a thank you message and...perhaps, an Annual Report once a year!! 🙄
Donors who give regularly are the most valuable contributors. Donors give again & more if they believe an organization is well-run, effective, & that their gift makes a difference. They need contact, communication, and acknowledgement…in short, they need engagement. (1/4)
YOU help reduce physical pain for donors & volunteers!
Not kidding! There’s enough research to show empathizing, helping, sharing, comforting, and cooperating (pro-social behaviour) is mood-boosting and stress-busting resulting in better mental and physical health. (1/6)
Every year, @gopaliyouth (GYWS) runs a fundraiser, Yogdaan, to raise funds from students. Until 2019, GYWS student volunteers went door-to-door in hostels collecting cash donations. This was a challenge & took time to tally. UPI was not popular back then.
The @danamojo_org platform is getting better and better! Love that they have a single focus- 'How can we help our customers (NGOs) use our tools to become more efficient and savvy at online fundraising and realize the power of Individual Giving.' #fundraising#donors#donations

I love this feature! I spend far too much time and effort trying to pick gifts. This option is better...rather spend time & effort to find a cause the receiver is passionate about:)
Gifted a donation to a beloved friend on #womensday2023. She was thrilled!...and so was I 💕
@gauravsabnis Spot on. While major highways now have plenty of rest stops with clean loos they don't all have western commodes. Had a harrowing experience at Isha Vidya ashram. Took me two hours and a very, very nice volunteer to find one single western style loo in the entire ashram. Wept
