Ukrainian forces have launched the largest drone-based humanitarian operations of its kind, delivering food across the Dnipro River to residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky, Kherson region. Around 4 tonnes of supplies have already reached 100 designated locations.

Oleshky is currently facing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis under Russian occupation. Russian forces have cut off regular food supplies and are preventing civilians from leaving under what they call a “curfew,” effectively trapping an estimated up to 2,000 residents. Hunger has become so severe that there are already reports of people being forced to eat dog meat to survive.
