A2 I teach tolerance and acceptance, and make the classroom inclusive and tolerant by modeling and reviewing often. If there is a negative incident, I discuss it as a class without singling out anyone, making it teachable moment.

I try to get to know my students and understand their personalities and background. I teach tolerance and acceptance as well as the content. My students and I are free to say what they want and must accept others' opinions, even if they are different.

A5: I use Class Dojo and email to message parents. The principal sends blasts on Remind. I don't call the parents much since many of my parents don't speak English. In school, I grab a bilingual teacher to help, but can't do that remotely.

A4: Tech is great when used properly. So much available and kids know how to navigate everything. Challenges are not being able to verify it's the student doing the work alone. Students also get distracted and we can't easily refocus them.

A2: When on a chromebook, students go to other sites. Hard to avoid that. Not everyone has chromebook at home, and sketchy internet access. Have to be flexible with schedules and assignments.

A1: Since we're all teaching remotely, we have had to learn and use many new programs, platforms and apps. I have been using Google Classroom and Class Dojo for general communication, and EdPuzzle, BrainPop and Scholastic News for instructional purposes.
