For Lorna's attention: I read your poem about Trump, written in 2016, but with a couple of my verses updating to now at an event in Karamel, north London last night. Folk liked it so thanks for the inspiration.

Reeves talks about 'unfunded' government expenditures. If the government authorises the expenditure the Bank of England will fund it. No more unfunding. Reeves can save people's lives. If there is too much money in the system government can tax the rich, borrow or create money.
The PM said we should expect a "painful" budget. But a strong economy needs investment not more spending cuts. You wouldn't cross your fingers + hope a patient recovers before you treat them - it's just as misguided to wait until our economy is thriving before we invest in it.1/5
How many more stories of barbarity like this are needed to stop the sale of arms to the Israeli killer government? Selling arms to these war criminals effectively sanctions their acts of genocide.
I just signed the petition calling on Chancellor @RachelReevesMP not to scrap the Winter Fuel Allowance for MILLIONS of struggling pensioners - just as energy bills are about to go up again! Will you add your name too? https://t.co/bamDJrH1IK

And more evidence for the need to fund social care adequately and properly --- which new Government has to address. But still missing from thier priorities
Thames Water paid two fresh dividends worth £158.3m despite £15bn debt and sewage dumping.
It wants inflation-busting price hikes.
Water industry is financially, environmentally and morally bankrupt.
It can't be allowed to fleece people. Nationalize.

France’s extraordinary election results provide an urgent, valuable lesson.
Don’t concede ground to those who sow division and fear. Build a bold Left movement that offers an alternative of inclusion and hope.
That is how you defeat the far right.
This is an incredible piece of work by @JonathanPieNews.
From the research, to the sequencing, to the performance.
You want to know why so many people are turning away from vapid MSM and looking to political comedy & alternative news? Look no further. 👇
Totally drastic ---hardly half a dozen shots on goal in 3 matches, and a manager who tells his team to be be very cautious if you get as far as the halfway line. How to let that amazing fanbase down, big time!
🗣️ "One good performance, one alright performance, one rubbish performance."

Tell them, we did not live silent.
We lit up the sky.
We laughed.
We took care of each other.
Tell them, we were broken.
But we did not live silent.
We reached the impossible.
And it was impossible.
If I die, tell them, we did not live silent.
We sang. We taught. We learned. We grew.
We messed with each other. We danced. And we danced.
We made it work. We prayed for each other.
We cried. We held each other.
But tell them, we did not live silent.
We resisted. And resisted. And resisted. And resisted.
We bled. And we stitched each other up.
We leaned on each other. We fed each other.
Tell them, we did not live silent.
We told stories at night. We rode at dawn.
We ran for our lives. We swam for our lives.
We risked it all. We never gave up. Till the last breath.
Tell them, we did not live silent.
And we died. Free!
What happens when Doughnut Economics meets Braiding Sweetgrass? It was a big honour & pleasure to meet Robin Wall Kimmerer @hayfestival this weekend - with luck this was the 1st of many conversations that we'll have together about embedded new economic thinking in living systems.
