Since Tesla didn’t invite me to check out the new Model 3/Y standard I get to say what we are all thinking.
For $5,000 less, these new models are too stripped down to be worth recommending.
-No Autopilot. If you want auto steer you need to subscribe to FSD which now makes the standard Tesla more expensive than the next trim level.
-No AM/FM radio
-No powered mirrors. No buttons to adjust seats. Manually adjusted steering wheel.
-Model Y has a glass roof but it’s just randomly covered for some reason? Even though the Model 3 keeps the glass roof. I would love to know the reasoning behind this. Like is it not UV coated to save money?
-No ambient lighting, no rear screen.
-Slower supercharging
-Very small and cheap looking frunk.
To add insult to injury, they come out right after the $7,500 tax credit disappeared. So effectively, we are getting a worse vehicle for more money. The people who were waiting for a more affordable Tesla were not rewarded for waiting.
I think ultimately what annoyed me the most is they hyped this up like it was supposed to be something special. If they just silently dropped these new trim levels like they did the base Cybertruck it wouldn’t be so bad. But we all know what happened to the base Cybertruck… right?

“Ordered online from @Columbia1938, got the wrong size. Instead of a simple exchange, they make you return + repurchase (with a $6 fee). By the time you reorder, the right size could be sold out. Feels outdated for 2025. #CustomerExperience#ColumbiaSportswear”
@Columbia1938@DILLIGAF2003 ordered online, got the wrong size. Instead of a simple exchange, you make me return + repurchase (with a $6 fee). By then the size is sold out. Outdated & frustrating. Chat could not help.

@Columbia1938 Tried to exchange a Columbia item for a different size, instead of a simple swap, they make you return it, pay $6, and reorder. Feels so outdated and customer-unfriendly… we’re 2025 not 1938.
Anyone else having this issue with V.2025.26.7 update? While charging my Model Y, the screen keeps switching back to the charging display every ~20 seconds, interrupting music playback. I tap to restart the music, but it happens again. @Tesla
