The story’s pace sure got messed up by the open world format, but the quality and game feel of its engine is unparalleled.

@TitanfallBlog I haven’t encountered any missing sounds since the update, but occasionally my teammates and I have noticed that we hear each others’ footsteps much more loudly than normal. This leads to frantic and fruitless searches for enemy players.

@jimmortensen I successfully learned how to make a recurve bow and Flemish twist string out of PVC and dacron thread using youtube tutorials. Ended up with a decent bow with a 55lb draw weight. I’ve also used some videos about art techniques, but I think they’re harder to make good videos on.

@USSStellarDrift @GailSimone While combat is fast and very fun, and the environments are downright beautiful, I never got the feeling that I was seeing something *truly alien*. The Angara’s culture is very relatable, and body-snatching aliens aren’t that wild. Don’t get me started on their use of Dark Energy

@USSStellarDrift @GailSimone I can certainly respect people’s enjoyment of it, but the main thing about ME:A that frustrated me was that it didn’t feel to me like the world and its inhabitants were different enough to feel like visiting another galaxy. Their only interactions with Nordic peoples was being raided by a specific subgroup of them, so they just generalized that to all Scandinavians and Icelanders—ignoring the fact that most were just farmers.

Any farming would need to be done within a protected habitation module of some sort—which would also help with a smallish degree of CO2 recycling for colonists and improve their mental health. However, pressurized space on the moon is obviously very limited.
