Development programmes without local participation and local acceptance are a waste of time and resources.

Governments of our time have mastered the art of forced feeding.
They design grand schemes in distant boardrooms, announce them with fanfare, and then thrust them upon communities as though development were medicine that must be swallowed whether the patient is willing or not. The result is predictable: the “food” is rejected, the resources are squandered, and the people remain hungry—not merely for bread, but for dignity and agency.

Beauty, like a flower, blooms only for a season and withers when neglected.
So too has our Constitution—once a living covenant—been reduced to mere parchment, existing on paper yet absent from the hearts of the people.Patriotism is quietly expiring.
Corruption and cartels have coiled themselves around every institution like parasitic vines, choking the very organs meant to serve the Republic.
Even the IEBC, designed as the impartial guardian of the people’s will, has been diminished to a ceremonial instrument—present in form, hollow in function.Why, then, do we continue to exhaust ourselves in the endless search for the “right person,”
when the deeper, more enduring task is to forge the right decisions and the right institutions first?History is unambiguous:
no singular virtue can redeem a broken system,
yet sound institutions can elevate even ordinary citizens into the architects of a just order.The question is not merely who shall lead us,
but whether we still possess the collective will to restore the Constitution to the hearts of the people—before the flower withers beyond recovery.✨
