New version, 2025.04.1, just released! Adds support for the Vivoactive 6 and Approach S50. Also include some minor bug fixes and performance improvements
Latest version (2022.02.1) should fix SSL issues across all devices. We now have multiple workarounds in place: if one doesn't work, one of the others should!
We're aware of connection issues w/ Forerunner 645 Music and Fenix 5 Plus and reported the issue to @garmin. TL;DR is secure connections require an up-to-date SSL certificate store on the watch: these are so out-of-date, we can't work around the issue. Stay tuned.
Runcasts now uses the 'season' and 'episode number' tags for episode ordering if a podcast provides them. This can fix weird sort order issues for podcasts like https://t.co/18GC91VdQo among others.
Update: We're currently experiencing higher than usual load which is causing our transcoding pipeline to back up. We've increased the server count so any episodes stuck in "Processing" should become available soon. Our apologies!
Tip: The latest firmware on button-based watches has the music player hotkey (e.g. long-pressing DOWN) go to the Runcasts menu instead of the audio player. Press the music player hotkey once more to access the player so you can easily resume playback
@kbhatt75 @marathontalk@pocketcasts That's a technical limitation at the moment, but it's high on the priority list to fix. The episodes are present in Runcasts, they're just not visible... yet. Stay tuned!
@rbanow Hey Ryan, could you DM or email [email protected] with your username? I'm not aware of any outstanding issues, but definitely want to investigate this
Earlier today we had an issue with our transcoding pipeline that caused numerous 'Processing Errors'. The root cause should be fixed now and over the next hour you should see all those episodes become available. Sorry for the interruption!
Podcast Feed Geek Out Alert: thrilled to see @npr start adding the isPermalink="false" attribute to their <guid> tags. This probably doesn't sound exciting, but it's the best thing ever. 🤓
