It's the players that make the league what it is! It is obviously fair that they ask for a piece of the pie that they helped create.

- 4 new expansion teams
- 48% increase in attendance
- 170% increase in TV ratings

WNBA after a record breaking year- just opted out of their collective bargaining agreement, demanding a better share of revenues with players. Just makes sense. Players make the league - not BCCI/not the owners.

Looking at the 2024 payroll for teams in the MLB (10 $200M+ teams) and thinking about the paltry 1M increase in the salary cap in the IPL for 2025- being positioned as a big deal and player friendly. It's absurd how underpaid IPL athletes are given the size of the broadcast deals

@khrashprash1 @t20tracker @CaribCricket Agree in principle it's a good idea in isolation. But the problem comes when it overlaps with 2 other leagues. What happens then? IPL teams are never gonna participate in this. Same players play across multiple teams for different teams- if 2 of their teams qualify,what happens?

Wow - I can't believe we still have new leagues popping up, even now! Are players time travelling to play in these tournaments?? Southern Hemisphere Summer gets more crowded!
