"I'm really into this. Want to listen?" means always having something to say. With that in your pocket, your confidence will be immediately recognized.
@cogmug What about music as an unexpected way to skip right into getting to know someone, bypassing all the formality? If sharing is a ritual, no need for the first "date" ask. "Want to hear this song I'm really into?" "Heard anything like this before?"
@DancingEddie_ Smooth is as smooth does. When you play music you are into...smooth, right? Now make that a ritual and invite her. You'll both forget "you" and "us" while the music does the the heavy lifting. Rinse and repeat for low stakes practice.
@OniricJaywalker@Cazzacker@legitimatetiger Hobbies like listening to music show taste. The ritual of sharing music "Hey, want to check out this track I'm really into?" let's you both relax. No pressure in something you both already do.
@MReed14005 Ritual. Doing something you do without thinking about an outcome. "Want to listen to this track I'm really into?" Unexpected. Room to flow. She can feel your vibe without the pressure of a "date". Conversation with purpose that shows taste.
@Jewelpaint@ascendant32@meadandjuniper Music moves me, so I use it to connect. If the vibe flows, it doesn't feel like an effort. It feels fun to discover with the other person.
@Havenlust BBC's "Landscape Artist of the Year" does a great job over the years of highlighting Turner. Glad to see for young viewers just learning of the work.
