Got Data?
The age of data has arrived. You could be sitting on a gold mine.
Here are the things AI Labs are paying $$$:π
Age of Business:
3+ Years Old
Team Size:
Minimum 20+,
Ideally 50+
Systems:
CRMs
Slack
Emails
Code - Github
Designs, Files, Workflows, CAD drawings.
The more the better, the more connected they are with each other even better.
What does that mean?
-If team member 1 is in CRM, Slack, Emails, and other systems and can be traced. Then that data is more valuable.
My business is shut down:
No problem its still worth money your old records.
How / Why?
It helps make the models smarter, they learn on your data to get better at doing similar tasks. They call this RL (reenforcement learning)
How Much Could I Get?
You could earn anywhere from $!00,000 to over $5,000,000. Yes that's true.
How Much Does Korra @gotdataa charge?
We connect your directly with end buyers, the labs that will license your data for upto 3 years and pay you directly. No Middle Man. We charge you nothing. The labs pay us.
What else should I know?
Your data is de-identified. What that means is nothing that connects you or your company gets to the labs. Everything is cleaned, and only after your approval does it leave. Data Privacy is a critical part of this process.
Last thing to note: This demand might last for another year or it might last for many years. No one can say for sure. If your considering licensing your data.
Reach out to us through DM's or go to https://t.co/amj9oAJDjC and start talking to our assistant it will get you sorted.
p.s. if you know a business that is selling their data get in touch we pay the most in referral fee's.
It's crazy but the ceo of mercor @BrendanFoody says it so clearly. They have ONLY partnered with >500 companies. That is not alot. They have crazy valuations and revenue.
But only 500 companies and @mercor is essentially the biggest. Something to think about...
The real number which would be more valuable is how many companies they have looked at... Brokers have brought them i'm sure 1000's upon 1000's.
The game is simple bring us everything you have, then will look at the few that we want. Makes sense for them.
Crazy model they have, keep submitting and will tell you whenever we like one.
A CEO of a lab told me their acceptance rate is 2% for anything less then 50 employees.
Even if its a deal you don't like, you need to have reps at least answer the inquiries.
A simple "no" will suffice keeping brokers/sellers on ice is not a good business practice. It makes us hesitant to bring the really hot leads to you.
FYI - your not the only company offering referral fees.
@fairseam To be perfectly honest we close 9/10 inbound leads. The issue is that those leads have had conversations / samples sent to other brokers and maybe labs have seen it.
Multiple labs seeing it de-values the deal.
The best thing about outbound leads is that its yours.
Two kind of leads for Brokers and Labs. Guess which one Labs don't love.
1. Outbound Leads you generate through channels like LInkedIn, Email, Cold Calls. These are harder to get but much easier to convert and become essentially exclusive. This is simple because they are higher in the funnel and your brand owns the process.
2. Inbound leads from things like Twitter... These guys are much more informed, Middle of the funnel. They have done their research. They are coming to you with questions, they have spoken to other brokers and rating you against your competitors. Much harder to get a exclusive deal. They want better terms.
Data Brokering, Vending is one of the most addictive markets we have ever been inside. An absolute frenzy. Super opaque. Highly Profitable. Extremely conniving players.
Insane opportunity if you can play the game.
Labs are horrendous at getting back to us on files we send.
When something is hot, we are your number 1 priority, then you just disappear, when you lose interest.
We get it supply is going crazy- thanks to guys like us. That's the industry scaling. But you need to learn how to scale with it, fix your internal processes.
These tactics won't be tolerated much longer. The new generation of guys entering the market are not your typical brokers.
We come from a different world with access... Your inviting the wrong kind of competition.
Either fix it or accept your competition is going to take market share.
Your on notice.
Number 1 complaint I have about labs is this. We send dozens of files, and you guys can't handle it? Where is your processes?
Why are you not able to say yes / no....
There are new funded labs popping up everywhere. Hence those labs who can't get it together are losing people who are pro at sourcing.
We get it - alot of supply right now.... But that's the industry scaling. Figure it out - or bring outside help who can figure it out for you.
Data licensing companies after you send them 14 seller briefs because they said βWe move fast, send us everything youβve gotβ
- Slow af
- Engineer brains, don't know how to sell
- Annoying to deal with, don't respond quick enough
- Overwhelmed with demand
- Big talk upfront, back pedals with high demand
Step your damn game up buyers:
I should just go raise 100M and take all your business.
@termsheetinator 100% Biggest complaint ever.
Exact same scenarios happened. They don't have sales process or even a good intake process. Its amateur hour. Their inviting sharks.
Send them 1 at a time. Get a answer then send another.
There are 30+ labs you can send files to.
@struxai I mean it wouldnβt be a fully automated platform but whoever builds now has a competitive advantage as Iβm sure multiple parties are working on it in stealth,
I keep converging on this conversation about businesses plugging into a platform that can D-ID and build tasks / RL env's.
Then the platform just connects to the labs. Takes a small platform fee %.
Turns this to an efficient market.
Stop showing your data to multiple buyers:
Most of the buyers we work with don't purchase data up front. They first show it to frontier labs, and only once a lab approves it do they buy it from you and build it into an RL environment.
If you show the same dataset to several buyers, the lab ends up seeing it multiple times, and it loses its value. The lab's reaction is, "I've already seen this." That also makes the buyers look bad, because their whole pitch to the labs is exclusive access to proprietary datasets
@hugoleprince I was thinking about this, like an open router for data. The businesses connect to the platform, the platform handles the D-ID, the platform builds the Tasks / RL env's. And the labs connect on the other side.
It would be a way more efficient market than what currently exists.
