So while we were on St Kilda this week I asked Lauren @gothiccuriosity to marry me. #shesaidyes the lovely @StKildaNTS Sue made a big fuss found 🍾 to celebrate and waved us off from the island in a full bridesmaids dress with wellies! Thanks for making our trip so special.
The Witches Stone, Forres, Scotland said to be the spot where one witch met her end after being rolled down Cluny Hill in a spiked barrel and burned. Apparently cursed and should not be removed from the spot. #FolkloreThursday
Victorians carried their dead out of the house feet first so they couldn’t look back and bring someone else with them. Mourning lockets were also popular that contained a lock of the deceased’s hair #folklorethursday
Hoxton Hall opened during this week in November 1863, built by James Mortimer, a local philanthropist. Still thriving today
