@MitchAbides@NHL_Watcher Can’t play on grass with 2 teams full time in Vegas (the question was why they weren’t in Vegas this year). Barely can in Sacramento and only because of player revolt behind the scenes)
@AbqOaktown@CaseyWitt_ Uh… there’s no law against changing your mind. The fact is, in the A’s minds, $1B wasn’t enough in Oakland to offset the risk. They wanted a big project in Oakland and Covid and rising costs re-calibrated the projects risk profile.
@PeteATurner 0 Cys, 0 chips, 0 times leading the league in WAR… he was very good for a very long time. Definitely top 5 unhittable pitchers… but all those walks and homers led to the 3rd most losses of all time and a roughly .500 career record. Doesn’t sniff top-10 let alone 5
@OaklandRooted@With2HoleInOnes Keeping the A’s in Northern CA if Sacramento is the only option would be an amazing service to Northern CA A’s fans. That’s my only hope for keeping the A’s. If he does keep them in Sac it’s because it’s his only option based on MLB directive. It would be insane to not take oppty
@ThatBootlegGuy Hey man we can still hold out hope Fisher steps on a rake and no longer owns the team by the time Vegas opens. Would have felt a lot better to have the team simply bought and moved than watch this guy fail upwards in slow motion for years.
@Panzer65@NoWayWoke You know what, if they enjoy performing, and people enjoy seeing them as a shell of themselves, let them have their fun. Nobody has to be their best forever.
@PeteATurner He’s in to me. Best player on championship teams, elite contact and elite defense. He’s one of these guys that if other guys are in, why not him? There’s roughly a dozen modern, non-steroid guys not in with 60 WAR and most snubs a travesty compared to many guys who are in.
@PeteATurner Anyways being real, my top 1 statement for Arod was a combination of being facetious and stirring shit up. My real pick is Honus Wagner by an absolute mile, I don’t really understand how it’s even a debate. He’s the Michael Jordan of SS, one of the absolute best of all time
@PeteATurner The difference in defense and positional value of their bats wasn’t even close and the best argument for making that decision was Yankees prime Cano was better than Jeter too and Jeter probably couldn’t play 3rd. There wasn’t any place to hide Jeter
