Wow!
Republican Rep. Mark Alford tries to calm his constituents down—who just lost their federal jobs—by telling them God has a plan and he’s confident they’ll find new work and be able to provide for their families.
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has joined the Anti-Defamation League in criticizing former President Trump’s remarks at his antisemitism event.
Statement:
“Former President Trump said yesterday that if he were to lose the Presidential election “the Jewish people would have a lot to do with that if that happens because at 40% that means 60% are voting for the enemy.”
Three Points:
1. Whoever a majority of the Jewish community votes for, Jews – roughly 2 percent of the U.S. population – cannot and should not be blamed for the outcome of the election. Setting up anyone to say “we lost because of the Jews” is outrageous and dangerous. Thousands of years of history have shown that **scapegoating** Jews can lead to antisemitic hate and violence.
2. Like all Americans, some Jews will vote for President Trump and some will vote for Vice President Harris. None of us, by supporting the candidate we choose, is “voting for the enemy.” Divisive rhetoric like this has no place in politics, especially at a time of rising threats of political violence and two assassination attempts on the former president.
3. Both candidates should work to earn the support of our community based on policy. But let’s not make this election and its outcome about the Jews.”
My fellow Republicans as the mayor said, "you don't owe loyalty to a political party that is out of touch and hellbent on taking our country backwards. You owe no displaced loyalty to a candidate who is morally and ethically bankrupt."
You are free to vote across the aisle!
This is categorically FALSE. Today is my first day attending the trial and Mr Trump's description of the area surrounding the courthouse does not resemble the truth.
People were lined up outside between barriers (press & non-press).
And the park directly across from the courthouse is completely open to the public.
BREAKING
Liz Cheney slams Speaker Mike Johnson for showing up to Trump's hush-money trial in Manhattan today:
"Have to admit I’m surprised that Speaker Johnson wants to be in the 'I cheated on my wife with a porn star' club. I guess he’s not that concerned with teaching morality to our young people after all."
Trump appears to have deleted this post complaining that his legal team didn’t have time to prepare for today’s witness. (I saw it on Truth Social a few minutes ago but it’s gone now.)
Very detailed sworn witness testimony of Trump raping a 13 yo aspiring model four separate times, and all at Epstein’s New York place. The case was dropped after the attorney for the Jane Doe bringing the suit said she feared for her and her family’s life after she received death threats, we can only assume from Trump. He’s an evil man.

Hey @KatieBrittforAL why did you lie about the cartel gang rape during your #SOTUResponse ? This guy has receipts that it happened during GW Bush’s presidency, and that it didn’t happen in the US. You need to answer for this.
WOW.
So, it turns out that story told by Senator Katie Britt, on national TV, as part of the Republican party rebuttal to President Biden, was bullshit.
It was an awful story about sex trafficking, which DID happen, but not the way Britt told it.
She made it seem like it happened on the border, in the United States and while Biden was President, but it happened between 2004 and 2008, when George W. Bush was President.
And it happened IN MEXICO.
It is DESPICABLE for a sitting U.S. Senator to weaponize the pain experienced by a real survivor of sex trafficking, just to try to create a false narrative.
It's even WORSE that Britt was part of the team negotiating to pass the border security bill before she decided to shit on the very thing that would help prevent awful things like that from happening.
SHAME ON YOU, @SenKatieBritt.

Billionaire NBA owner Mark Cuban said he voted for Nikki Haley in the GOP primary in Texas but would vote for Biden over Trump in November:
“If they were having his last wake, and it was him versus Trump, and he was being given last rites, I would still vote for Joe Biden.”
President Biden: The first thing dictators do is disregard the rule of law. Trump thinks he can ignore the Constitution, talks about retribution. Insurrectionists storm the capitol, he said he’s going to release them from prison. That’s not what happens in America
