Am amazing 25 wedding anniversary dinner in @glenlo_abbey with Julian in the Pullman carriage. One of the best meals I have ever had. Best in the West!! #WildAtlanticWay#Galway
Some of the highlights from our 'Celebration of Spring Tasting Menu' aboard the #PullmanRestaurant. Thank you to Noel @gotowineguy and Orla from @FebvreWines - simply perfection! And to our team of talented chefs, Michael, Becca and Shannon behind the scenes. #finedining
At a recent New Zealand tasting the Pinot that impressed me most was this Canterbury Pinot from Pegasus Bay, none of the jammy fruit that is often found in New World Pinot. We just got it in. @chadgugliotta@hubiegallagher@GrubnGargle
Delighted to congratulate Veronika & Zsolt Zakar of @LobstarDublin with their award of Best Seafood restaurant in Leinster at the recent Good Eating Guide 2018. Enjoy the @TaittingerIE, Veronika!
And here we have cataclysmic weather (including thunder & lightning) over the vines of #grandpuylacoste in Pauillac. Looks like a soft day in Swinford, Co. Mayo to me!
Stunned by the technology and architecture in Chateau Lafon Rochet in Saint-Estephe. The wines in Pauillac and Saint-Estephe were exceptional, having, almost to a house, escaped the April frost.
Would you believe I was chased by one of these in Chateau Ciaran this afternoon! He was very loud too! This estate’s wine, though, was marvelous, despite losing a huge % of their crop to frost!
This was as close as I got to Cheval Blanc in Saint Emilion! The 2017 vintage in Bordeaux is very much a treasure trove of wines that need picking over. In a deckchair vintage all wines are “magnifique”, but 2017 needs a map.
If you get a chance try Les Terrasses Rouge at Chateau La Dominique in Saint Emilion - beautiful food, fantastic view- just don’t order Burgundy. Last time I was there, someone did that. They are still looking for him.
@FebvreWines@BrasserieGalway Many thanks to Lady Eimear & Co of Brasserie on the corner for a wonderful night of cheese with Butch Cassidy (aka Larry from Galway goat farm) and the Sundance kid (Sean from Cratloe Hill cheese). Real heroes!
