Our team spoke with the @BostonGlobe about how we are shortening the distance between the vaccine and folks who live in COVID hot spots by mobilizing physicians, medical students, organizers, and community members to help take care of those most in need!

“This is what vaccine equity looks like. Bringing vaccine to where people live, meeting them where they are.”
Thank you to the @BostonGlobe for covering our story bringing vaccines to our city’s vulnerable through @GOTVax_org and our incredible partners!

Proud to join @easternbank @NCFBoston to support @GOTVax_org in promoting vaccine access & providing pop-up vaccination clinics to reach people living in communities with the highest incidence rate of #COVID19 cases, including Boston, Brockton & Chelsea. https://t.co/Ekv8gaYA8U
Above all, we cannot lose sight of our main goal: Vaccinating the unvaccinated. There are still around 70 million Americans whose individual vaccine efficacy is at 0%, having not received a single dose. Let's do all we can to help get these people protected.
People keep saying that vaccine hesitancy, or vaccine resistance, is causing people to not get vaccinated.
Thats true, but it’s not so simple. There are still major access barriers that are making it hard for people to get shots even if they want them.

Another important thread 🧵 illustrating the fact that there are many people who are unvaccinated but not anti-vaxxers. It’s our job to get them access to vaccines and address their concerns. @MasconMedical@wegotusproject @EBNHC @LastMileVaccine@RheaBoydMD @oni_blackstock

Yesterday in clinic I saw many patients.
All of them living with #HIV.
All Black.
None of them vaccinated for #COVID19.
We engaged in conversations about their reasons for not getting vaccinated.
#YES stop hating on the not-yet-vaccinated. It’s normal & rational to have questions. We want people to know more about their health. Vaccinated people are the link to reaching the not-yet-vaccinated folks in our lives, esp when there’s more unvax than vaccinated #GOTVax
With in-person learning resuming it's important to understand why doctors recommend students 12+ get vaccinated before returning to school. @greaterthanCV19 pediatricians answer some of the most common Qs about kids & the COVID vaccines. Learn more here: https://t.co/hVHCUn0ugf
