On day two of Veterans Week, @IamJonSantiago visited the Veterans Association of Bristol County, one of our many community partners supporting veterans and their families across Massachusetts.
While federal SNAP funding is temporarily paused, many local food and housing resources remain available to veterans. Programs like HEROES — our statewide housing program — and community partners like VABC are helping ensure every veteran has access to the support they need.

Day two of Veterans Week brought us to the South Coast, where we spent the morning with the Veterans Association of Bristol County (VABC) connecting with local veterans over coffee and touring their new facility — a vital hub providing food, clothing, and community support.
We then joined student veterans and staff at @BristolCC to discuss education, workforce opportunities, and how the next generation of veterans is shaping our Commonwealth’s future.

Did you know Veteran Services Officers (VSO) are located in every city and town in the Commonwealth? They provide essential services like helping veterans access their federal benefits, career opportunities, and even housing assistance. This week, VSOs from across Massachusetts are meeting at their annual conference in Leominster to network and learn the latest information so they can better serve our veterans and their families.
Yesterday, we kicked off our 2025 Veterans Service Officer (VSO) Conference in Leominster! Over the next few days, VSOs from across Massachusetts will join EOVS leadership for hands-on training, program updates, and discussions on how to best serve our veterans and their families.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Cemetery Administration has awarded more than $4 million in federal funding to expand the state’s two Veterans Memorial Cemeteries at Agawam and Winchendon. This ensures that Massachusetts veterans and their families continue to have access to dignified resting places for the next decade.
