Plus NFTs allow for customisation. When I buy the NFT, I can make changes to the art and, in theory, add value to the NFT. I can even sell the NFT at a profit, depending on what sort of tinkering I did with the original NFT.
Imagine that Flight Sim 2020 had Airbus A380 as an NFT. I could purchase it from Microsoft, fly around the world and once I'm tired of flying it, I sell it to someone else who wants to buy. Microsoft earns royalties, and I recoup some of my initial purchase value. It's brilliant!
It's a win-win. And once any mainstream comapny takes the lead, Game Theory 101 shall tell you what will happen to NFTs adoption in the gaming world.
Right now, games using NFTs are bad. But it won't stay like that for long
The NFT space is driven by hype, much like the dot-com bubble back in the day. That doesn't mean that the technology is not innovative. The dot-com bubble didn't stop you from be a slave to everything internet 20 years later
Not to mention the huge utility of nfts in games. All your mainstream games will incorporate nfts sooner or later. It's a matter of time. It's a sound financial decision, and one which will be popular among the gamers
NFTs are the best thing to have ever happened to artists, both digital and conventional.
It's an innovative idea to raise capital, much like companies raise capital by issuing stocks or taking debt.
It tracks ownership rights. It could make up for a genius ticketing mechanism
@GENESIS_SENSHI@GHARLIERA1 I'm fascinated by anything that incorporates physics, logic or maths. Hence, when given the opportunity to make use of them all and some coding skills I had picked up, I made an epidemic simulation based on C++ for my freshman year CS 100 class
