I keep hearing really dangerous rhetoric during this pandemic about how the risk is small enough to start engaging in regular behaviors.
Every time I hear that argument, I think of Cap saying, "We don't trade lives" - I'm not about to sacrifice others' well being for normalcy.
LEADERS! School is starting! It’s hard to take care of kids when we don’t have time to take care of each other. The most important thing to get ready in classrooms IS THE ADULT IN THAT SPACE. Give them opportunities to connect with colleagues. #1minwalk2work#leadfromwhereyouare
Not all teachers desire to leave the classroom & move into admin! But, they may desire more leadership within the school. We need a model shift in education where great talent is not promoted away, but given more pay/responsibility in the school! Creating a dynamic school culture
“Rough times will always happen, but they will not stay. Good times will happen, but they will not remain. That is part of what it is to be human. The trick is not to get caught up thinking that one moment, good or bad, is something that will stay forever.” https://t.co/efOsDLoMHr
"When staff comes to us with an idea, they should leave more excited about their idea than they were before they presented it to us." @casas_jimmy#LearningFirst
We think we accept others; we think we embrace others; we think we love others. But it doesn’t really matter if they don’t feel it. Our good intentions are not enough… cause it’s not about us.
LEADERS!!!! Moments of AWE are happening in schools all the time! Our RESPONSIBILITY is to RECOGNIZE where they happen and make sure people KNOW about them. We’re all in this thing together. #1minwalk2work#hackingleadership#leadfromwhereyouare
It’s not what we do with tech the ultimately matters. It’s how kids use tech in ways to learn that they couldn't without it. It’s how they can better own their learning through voice and choice as a means to demonstrate understanding at higher levels.
