On this day, 79 years ago, President Harry S Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947, which separated the Air Force from the U.S. Army.

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we remember and honor the heroes who endured captivity and those who remain missing in action.

Today and always, we honor the courage and sacrifice of these service members and stand with the families who have carried their memory over the years. They will never be forgotten.

We recently joined leaders in Kansas City to celebrate House Bill 2974, which eliminates barriers for qualified healthcare professionals licensed in other states to begin working in Missouri.

I want to thank the Missouri General Assembly for getting this commonsense solution to my desk, and the many organizations like @unitedwe__ that continue to support efforts to modernize occupational licensing.

Our administration will continue to look for ways to cut unnecessary red tape and get government out of the way for employers and families to thrive in Missouri.

For 239 years, our Constitution has stood as the foundation of our republic and a safeguard of the individual liberties and freedoms that define our nation.

On Constitution Day, we celebrate its enduring legacy and the principles that continue to guide our great nation.

Protecting citizens also means protecting their constitutional rights.

Today, I signed Executive Order 26-18, establishing strict safeguards on the use of Automated License Plate Reader technology to prevent the misuse of the personal location data of Missourians while preserving legitimate law enforcement uses of the technology.

Today, I had the honor of visiting the Global War on Terror Traveling Memorial Wall during its first-ever stop in Missouri.

In the first year following the 9/11 attacks, more than 200,000 Americans enlisted in the U.S. military, fully aware that they would likely deploy to active combat zones in the Global War on Terrorism. This Wall is a powerful reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and of our responsibility to ensure their service and stories are never forgotten.

There is a reason we call September 11 Patriot Day. In our nation’s darkest hour, first responders and ordinary Americans alike showed us what it means to put service before self.

Today, I was honored to meet the New York firefighters traveling with the @Tunnel2Towers 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, many of whom were at Ground Zero on that tragic day.

Twenty-five years later, they are ensuring a new generation knows the stories of courage, sacrifice, and unity that defined that day.

On September 11, 2001, America witnessed unimaginable tragedy — but also extraordinary courage, unity, and resolve. In one of our nation’s darkest hours, we stood together and showed the world the strength of the American spirit.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of that tragic day, Claudia and I join Missourians in remembering every life lost, honoring every hero, and praying for the families who continue to carry their sacrifice.

While the reasoning behind today’s Missouri Supreme Court contempt hearings remain questionable, I am proud to stand behind Secretary Hoskins as he continues to serve as Missouri’s top elections authority.

I look forward to the Eighth Circuit’s consideration of the merits of the Missouri First Map and remain confident in the legal process moving forward. Voters deserve certainty and clarity.

Tomorrow marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

As Missouri joins the rest of the nation in remembering the tragic events of that day, I have ordered the Missouri State Capitol dome to shine red, white, and blue beginning tonight at sunset through sunrise on Saturday.

This serves as a reminder of a promise America made that day—and one we must continue to keep: Never forget.

We are grateful for Chief Judge Clark’s decision to provide much-needed clarity for Missouri voters and the election process.

With today marking the deadline for changes to the November ballot, the Missouri First Map will be used in the general election.

Voters and candidates deserve consistency, certainty, and not to have the rules changed between elections.
