Every time you avoid something uncomfortable, your brain reinforces the idea that avoidance works. It literally strengthens the pathways that make hesitation, procrastination, or excuses automatic. And every time you do the hard thing even imperfectly your brain is building a new pathway: this is something I can do.
I’ve never met someone who’s genuinely happy with their life, comfortable with themselves, and at peace with their surroundings go out of their way to be rude. more often than not, that kind of behaviour comes from people who are deeply unhappy and project their pain onto others. once you realise that, it becomes much easier not to take it personally.
You've got to get almost annoyingly serious about trusting yourself. You heard what you heard. You saw what you saw. You felt what you felt. Your body is speaking to you. Believe it.
i’m convinced that creativity is the elixir of life. not ambition. not productivity. but the simple act of making. the devotion to beauty. the refusal to go numb.
