REPORT: IRANIAN KURDISH OPPOSITION MEMBER FOUND DEAD IN ERBIL

Soran Mohammadzadeh, a Peshmerga and longtime member of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), was found dead in a hotel in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan.

According to PAK sources, his body showed signs of gunshot wounds and stab wounds.

PAK officials say Mohammadzadeh had been politically active for years, had received threats from Iranian authorities, and was forced to move between hotels after repeated Iranian-linked attacks on Kurdish opposition sites in the Kurdistan Region.

The party suspects the assassination was carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran
