I just contributed to help a local taxi driver recover after a brutal attack. Every little bit helps him take time off to heal. Please consider donating or sharing his story. https://t.co/J0RTHl7Q9T
@VersusArthritis ✋particularly apt today as I’m in the middle of a flare up and have spent the day hobbling about on my crutches. They are funky rainbow crutches granted, but it’d be nice to never have to use them!
A really useful and informative session on Ofsted this morning from @bettergovernor I’m not a morning person but this was worth the 8am start on my day off! Thank you
This has particular resonance for me personally at the moment but it’s important for all. Please read and consider adding your name. Thanks

What did you get up to this weekend? 🤯
For every Muslim, black or brown person you know, it was hell. Here's some key steps you can take as allies and professionals that can help. 🧵
I've lived in the UK for 2 decades. I've built my life and dreams because of the kindness shown to me by the British people as a refugee.
The violence we are witnessing on our streets doesn't represent the true British values I've come to know. We should fight it with better understanding and building bridges, not with more violence.
But the racism and division spewed by certain politicians, individuals, and extreme media over migration are responsible for the hatred on our streets. It's time to root out such narratives.
I want to reiterate for those criticising my take on tonight’s events in Brum - I was in Bordesley Green from 530-8pm - during that time I spoke to many and being violent was not their aim or demeanour. Showing solidarity was. But since then /1
@Rubi_Rosa_ @heymrsbond Judy Blume for me too. I’ve always loved reading. Started with Enid Blyton and Little House on the Prairie and other classics but it was Judy Blume that really got me hooked. Those were the first books I remember that really ‘spoke’ to me
@OliverRMills 1. Workload and work life balance 2. Flexibility to accommodate part time working 3. Funding to support SEND pupils 4. Time, in working hours, to properly prep and research and undertake regular impactful CPD to improve my teaching
@dianabarran I was very junior in the grand scheme of things!! In RDD governance. I just remember being blown away by your ability to chair a 30 min mtg &make strategic & informed decisions that benefited children. Your integrity shone through & IMO embodied the true spirit of public service
A 🧵 worth reading👇I had the privilege of working with @dianabarran at DfE. An astute, genuine, tenacious woman quietly getting on with doing the right thing for children. We may be political opposites but I have huge respect for the work she did.
As my time as a minister has now ended, I wanted to acknowledge what an extraordinary privilege it is to serve in government and how grateful I am to have had the opportunity.
For me, there are three main reasons that make this so special. 1/13
@HodgeSchool@trust_create Amazing! I’m so glad to see the youth proms still exist. We have a great music service in Bham. So wonderful to see the children getting to be part of this experience ❤️ 🎶
