@mulberrybush@FarmersOfTheUK @WTSWW @PastureForLife Agreed, PfL certification is the simplest certification process that I've come across but I just need to put the time aside to finish. I've set myself a deadline now ๐ช
@Marc_Compere@FarmersOfTheUK@PastureForLife Hedges are traditionally managed by laying. This is where shrubs are partially cut close to the ground and bent, creating a thick, stockproof boundary and a dense hedgerow for wildlife. This management is carried out on a 10-20 year rotation. Each region has it's own style.
@mulberrybush@FarmersOfTheUK @WTSWW The @PastureForLife team are very helpful and guide you through the process. It's quite simple but I need to sit myself down and complete it! https://t.co/lDrMpy4wbS
Bore da! I'm Emma Douglas, Regional Facilitator for @PastureForLife in Wales. I also work for @pontcymru, Wales's conservation grazing organisation and run @gowermeadowbeef with my family on the beautiful Gower Peninsula in south Wales.
@pontcymru is pleased to work in partnership with @PastureForLife. PONT bridges the gap between nature conservation and agriculture, helping to deliver conservation grazing solutions across Wales.
That's all from Wales and the @PastureForLife takeover. Thanks for following, find out more at https://t.co/ASUAb9ImbH Membership is open to everyone, not only farmers and if you are you can be anywhere on your journey towards 100% pasture fed. Nos da bawb ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ๐๐๐ฑ

September 2021 took @PastureForLife Cymru to World's End Farm, Llangollen where farm manager Mark Philpot demonstrated his grass fed native cattle, innovative cross breeding trials, species rich organic grassland and woodchip bedding. Facebook @organicnativebreedbeef
Elfyn and Rhian Davies, organic dairy farmers from Glancynin Farm, Saint Clears achieved @PastureForLife certification in 2021 ๐ They are champions of traditionally managed hedgerows and all the benefits that they provide for wildlife, the landscape and their cattle.
John and Pasty Price of Bryn Belted Galloway beef are our longest established @PastureForLife certified members in Wales. Their cattle thrive on the upland grasslands of the Brecon Beacons National Park, which give a unique terroir to their beef. https://t.co/eT1ZE3KJIY
Sally, Gary and Dafydd of Pantglas Farm, Llanboidy achieved @PastureForLife certification in 2021 ๐ They have a beautiful, organic herd of Jersey crosses, producing delicious and nutritious dairy products and outstanding beef. Find them on Instgram @soogoodorganic
2021 was a busy year for @PastureForLife in Wales. Our inaugural event held in August at PfL certified Pantglas Farm, Llanboidy was well attended despite torrential rain. Soil health consultant, Jon Williams introduced the group to the fascinating world of soils.
My family and I are very proud to produce 100% pasture fed beef (not certified... yet!) from our herds of Dexter and Welsh Black cattle @gowermeadowbeef. Nature friendly farming is at the heart of what we do, our cattle even help to manage local nature reserves.
