The NHS's 75th birthday today is an occasion where I'm not convinced the usual "tea party, big cake, bit 'o bunting" response quite cuts it. We're simultaneously incredibly grateful for the service, and increasingly concerned for i…https://t.co/gpcWv88ECU https://t.co/N5FiawsSzY

The UK’s focus this weekend has been on a remarkable 96-year-old lady. We wondered, how many 95+ females do we have, and what do they get prescribed?

Health sector analysts everywhere shouting "YES!!!" reading @bengoldacre and co's new paper. NHS hospital medicines data is basically in private monopoly hands, absolutely no #transparency. If you care about #OpenData then share the heck out of this.
BING BONG NEW PAPER
NHS hospital medicines data is being collected, but then needlessly withheld from analysts.
This means patients are exposed to sub-optimal treatment. And NHS money is being wasted.
The barriers are NOT technical. They are "people".
