There is an off-ramp forming on the horizon. We will learn more the closer we get to it.
“It is a very steep departure from ‘we don’t want cars from Canada,’” said Flavio Volpe.

This all tracks, just another non-creative sports marketer in Canada, who judges their work by quantity of clicks not quality of content. (Did you get your start working marketing for CFL?)
*For clarity purposes- at no point during the clip was I referring to the actual soccer team. Later in the show we do speak about the team directly (I guaranteed they will advance!)
The idea that it’s either: promote “jersey swap” or “free jersey” is utterly ridiculous… you don’t think there is anything you could have done in between the two? Maybe something celebrating both?
Here’s one I’ve thought of within 15 seconds:
“Bring in a picture of you sporting an Italian jersey (national or Serie A) and get a free jersey”
Instead you’re gonna gaslight and say “well we can’t just give out free jerseys”
Then even worse pretend like you give a shit about “a community who built the sport up nationally” even though the promotion was clearly done to kick them when they are down. Spare me.
Congrats on “getting people talking about it 5 days later”
I’m sure the clicks will be great and you can wear that badge around work for a few days.
Meanwhile the content was so trash and classless you’ve most likely netted out at losing supporters.
Since you viewed it as such a success are you doing any other jersey swaps with other tournament misses?
EXPLAINED:
CKD in auto - complete knock down kits.
Think about IKEA furniture kits. They are manufactured in Sweden, boxed & exported to stores abroad.
If you buy a sofa in Montreal & put it together, is that manufacturing a sofa in 🇨🇦?
Now you understand the China CKD plan.
Ben Johnson is a friend of mine. He helped to train the baseball players I coached to run fast, inc my sons.
4 decades later, people trashing him - for a transgression he paid heavily for - say more about themselves than the happy grandfather with a sense of humour he’s become.
Today I shared a humbling induction ceremony with many extraordinary citizens of the greatest country in the world. 🇨🇦
The honour of my life. Canada forever. 🇨🇦
Un messaggio, in italiano, per i giovani atleti che si stanno svegliando in Italia ora. 🇮🇹
A message, in Italian, for the young athletes waking up in Italy this morning.

I wanted to begin today my official mission to beautiful Nova Scotia by paying a new visit to @Pier21.
We honor the many Italians who came through here to help build Canada with the dignity of their work.

Seems hard for the President to rely on the 15 percent statute (sec 122) when his DOJ in our case told the Court the opposite: “Nor does [122] have any obvious application here, where the concerns the President identified in declaring an emergency arise from trade deficits, which are conceptually distinct from balance-of-payments deficits."
If he wants sweeping tariffs, he should do the American thing and go to Congress. If his tariffs are such a good idea, he should have no problem persuading Congress. That’s what our Constitution requires.
