@henrywinter Did Southampton volunteer the three clubs that they spied on or was this the findings of an enquiry? I would be interested to understand that a review of the in-turns whatβs app, phone videos (content) and expenses submitted in H1 2026 did not reveal further efforts to spy?
@BBCSport@5liveSport The fines have been paid from the proceeds of the sale, so no impact on CFC (current owners). If this was the case why not fine them Β£100m (the allegedly set aside Β£125m to deal with this issue). This fine could then be distributed across all PL and EFL teams disadvantaged.

@Realaldo474 Among others have suffered in years gone by. The fact that this is the Prem is irrelevant. On Clubs such as City and Chelsea fines are pointless (excuse the pun) there must be points deductions and league places at stake when clubs are owned by National States and Billionaires
@Realaldo474 People are suggesting a fine. This is crazy if a lack of financial stability including fines levied plays into ongoing accounting which compounds the issue. The penalty must be points or league places and the clubs should IMO suffer in the same way that Luton and Sheff Wedsβ¦
@Realaldo474 The Premier league clubs voted for these rules and an independent committee has overseen the punishment (I believe). The case of Forest and Everton are quite clear and they have put their hands up (forgetting City, Chelsea and Leicester for a minute). If not a points deductionβ¦
