@AlecShelbrooke@RishiSunak About time, second time lucky hey, well done. Shame you've allowed the water companies to pollute our rivers over the last 13years and got the rivers in the mess in the first place!

@AlecShelbrooke@Conservatives Well hopefully that means a much, much lower majority, and with 13years of giving to the rich and taking from the rest of us, I really, really hope you won't get re-elected by your new constituents 🤞#gtto
As long as there’s no glitter and it’s definitely paper it can go in your green bin! You can do the scrunch test to check it’s not plastic – paper stays scrunched, plastic bounces back https://t.co/JbNzmmVpOK
Year after year the regulator stamps their foot and demands the water industry does better.
Year after year the water industry writes it all off as just another temper tantrum and shrugs / laughs all the way to the bank.
Keeping human faeces out of the waterways people use recreationally is a key public health intervention.
Water companies can and should act on sewage and effluent discharge.
We lay out why and how below.

In particular, the report highlights the importance of rapid action to keep warming close to 1.5C, which would reduce damages "but cannot eliminate them all."
We need a more environmentally sustainable future , where as a species we are less vulnerable . People are not only keen to see a new normal for us , but also a new normal for nature as well – we MUST respect nature and the environment .
We're aiming to open many of our gardens and parks for free during this difficult time, so the nation can use open spaces to relax and refresh, while following the government’s social distancing guidance. We will be closing our houses, cafés and shops this week.
The UK Government must publish new carbon budgets linked to the Paris Agreement and Climate Change Act . It needs 10,000 signatures to be debated - Please help by signing .

A single tree can absorb 10 pounds of air pollutants a year. So every native tree we plant - and each established tree we protect and allow to grow - is good for our own health, as well as for wildlife, biodiversity, and tackling #climatechange 🌳🌳🌳

"Many of the policies that Labour, Liberal Democrats and Green Party have put forward are commensurate with, or striving to meet, the challenges we face. It is disappointing we have not seen the same urgency, ambition or consistency from the Conservative Party." #VoteTactically
