Went to see Tim Key in Exeter last night. Sublimely funny, with a good dash of sorrowful rage. โMagneticโ. I urge you to go. https://t.co/i3mzVrssJK
Beautiful to see the entire world united in celebrating the birthday of a man who has inspired, educated, delighted millions of people over 8 decades.
Wouldnโt it be wonderful if every day was a celebration of Sir David Attenborough.
Happy 100th Birthday
@batcountry1980 I think it was a good choice to use Hello Goodbye to put them back on the pop map again. Strawberry Fields only made no. 8 in the US and it was clear that although a lot of people got on the bus, there were many who got off. Hello Goodbye was a No. 1 both sides of the atlantic
@batcountry1980@SalvadorDafti I'd have to chose Please Please Me or With The Beatles then. As much as I love them both, there is something about Beatles For Sale that is so fresh and exciting
@batcountry1980@SalvadorDafti It's so hard to put the albums in order of preference. Yellow Submarine is the only album I would argue could be placed last purely because one side of if it is NOT The Beatles. Beatles For Sale is joyous and a real stepping stone towards Help! That's how good they were!
