@StanCollymore Lets go for the system they use in cricket...each team gets 2 challenges per game (only lose if unsuccessful), captains decide what to be reviewed and refs on the pitch are shown the replays and decide whether to change their minds...takes control away from Stockley Park
🌎 Ahead of the Global Partnerships Conference (19-20 May), we brought together voices across civil society to ask: what does the development sector want to see?

@MrD1by@ManCity (As an LFC fan) that was the most unbearable 45 mins of football I have ever watched, you tore us to shreds, somehow we hung on...mins passed like hrs
Not sure Arne Slot is best placed to call the Premier League boring when this is how Liverpool play football. 70 minutes of dross followed by 20 minutes of completely calamitous, unstructured free-styling.
This is what a race to the bottom looks like.
First the US slashes aid, then the UK follows with a 40% cut.
Now a senior German leader has used Keir Starmer's decision as reason to cut German aid.
Labour's aid cuts are inspiring others to slash their budgets.

New minister @JennyChapman says:
• New FCDO approvals are frozen
• No assurance existing commitments will be honoured
• No guarantee to keep aid at 0.5% GNI through 2026
• No sign yet of a way to cut aid by 40% without serious damage.
Rethink.

@marcorubio Wow, you reviewed over 6000 contracts in 6 weeks, did you do anything more than look at their titles? You definitely did not look at what the impacts of cutting them would be
Our response to the PM’s announcement on cutting INT'L aid:
'Marginalised communities are facing a dramatic poverty crisis. These cuts—a political decision echoing Trump’s race to the bottom on aid—are a betrayal that will erode trust & fan the flames of global insecurity.'
