@protosphinx Results of 20+ years of ZIRP. Lack of yield drove investors up the risk curve and money poured into alts/VC. Became easier to raise privately than public. Many other secondary effects- like the growth in VC backed companies. 2004- 5k- now- over 58k. Massive overhang.

@BernieSanders California will just blow the money, still run a deficit and find ways to tax more. Newsom has increased his budget from $200b to nearly $350b! That’s crazy. No business or household does that. California has a spending problem not a revenue one.

@WOLF_Financial Wealth tax won’t hit him like others. proposal calculates liability based upon the greater of control or ownership. Sergy Brin owns about 3% of Google but controls 50% via super voting rights. He would be taxed 50% of Google. Jensen doesn’t same issue. It’s nuts.

@Boughan88 @PatMcAfeeShow Meyers was perfect. Tough to do on that stage. Had 50+ distance. Take away all his points and Seattle loses. Their offense consistently stalled and he came through. Realize the stretch to crown him MVP but think he was slighted for his contribution.

@CarlBanksGIII I think only former players and coaches should be allowed HOF votes. Players know. The press doesn’t really know but likes to think they do. Better to deal with player bias than press bias.

@theblockspot @CMC_22 is the MVP. Remarkable all purpose player. Great comeback story but comeback award is consolation prize. Press should have no role in voting for MVP or Hall of Fame. Players know, press think they do. Would rather deal with player biases.

@marcjoffe @CharlieCashMony We have a spending issue in California, not a revenue issue. Budget has increased 72% since Newsom took office . Have to pull this back or we will be looking at a $1 trillion budget soon.

@shaig Agree completely. Had it happen Tuesday in SF. Driver kept driving further and further away. Was planning on wait it out and give him a negative review but did need to get somewhere. In talking to others it’s very prevalent to the point when it happens they accept it.
