I am excited to share that I will be joining the Department of Biology at James Madison University @JMU as an assistant professor this fall! Looking forward to starting my lab, where we will study floral color evolution, Silene speciation, and plant pollinator interactions! 🌸

I’ll be at #evol2023 talking about my fellowship work on the evolution of red flower color in #Silene on Friday 12:15p/Macroevolution II! See you in ABQ! 🌺
Excited for #evol2023! Join us for some great Phlox work by @a_g_garner, @grace_a_burgin, Bridget Bickner and Izzy Acevedo, and Silene science by @aeberardi!
@Saab95adventure @KrissaSkogen @a_g_garner Omg!! Look at that hyles go…. 🤩 I’m in Texas right now and saw a TON of hyles foraging on Phlox roemeriana. Def seems like a good year for them
@Saab95adventure @a_g_garner Yes!! We did nocturnal observations at one population. The only visitor we saw was the white lined sphinx (hyles lineata)… excited to see your Abronia work!! 🦋🦋
Our lab's first fully in-house incubated paper is out! Interested in root exudates and soil organic matter? More exudate carbon might not be better for overall MAOM accumulation - plus, different exudate compounds can differentially affect SOM. @ncharisoil https://t.co/zueU4vZ8hQ
Pleased to share my first publication from my fellowship at the @HarvardHerbaria with my amazing REU student from last year, @ac__bm and @PhloxELady ! "Convergence without divergence in North American red-flowering Silene". https://t.co/f132ut6sZa
