Mi parte favorita de la biblia es cuando Jesús, en vez de decirle a las mujeres como vestirse, le dice a los hombres que se arranquen sus ojos y corten las manos si no son capaces de controlarse
yeah i hate when my loved ones don’t want to spend sixty fucking dollars on a 20-40 minute uber from the airport and instead expect me, someone who loves them, to sacrifice a single hour of my time to help them out
turns out, reading a lot, exercising, loving people without expecting anything back, protecting your alone time, focusing only on improving yourself, and sometimes staying out late with friends who make you laugh until it hurts is a pretty good way to live.
We need to bring back intellectual elitism. Sorry, but a virologist will always know more about vaccines than a yoga mommy blogger with a ChatGPT Plus subscription.
My favorite line from Atomic Habits has been living in my head rent-free:
“It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
Literally everyone deserves to go out for dinner, buy coffees, wear quality clothing and have fun experiences whilst also being able to afford rent, groceries, bills & have a little left over for savings no matter what job they do. Why is that so absurd to some people?
i think it's also important for people to find hobbies where you can create and not just consume. people should have an outlet where they can express & enrich themselves while at the same time find enjoyment and peace in it.
“How did people write essays before ChatGPT?”
You all are young, but there was this thing called doing research, staring at a blank Word document, thinking, writing, rewriting, suffering, and persevering.
Stop using ChatGPT. Consult a local grandma…text your friend gc w/ a weird name…type ur problems into Reddit dot com…go to the library…pay a psychic…the ancient sources of wisdom…
