1.ECPR Timing: Minimal no-flow and low-flow states within 60 minutes are generally associated with reasonable outcomes.
2.Acid-Base Status: Lower pH and bicarbonate levels correlate with poorer recovery.

ECMO-CENTRAL academic research consortium established consensus definitions for adverse events in Pediatric ECMO.
We hope these definitions will be disseminated to stakeholders for use in research and regulatory evaluation of devices.
