I can’t wait to use @sakari_milan‘s @talesofcameliab in my own class to help share true stories that have been hidden for too long. Hearing her excitement and passion for her books made me so excited for my future Ss to hear her writing! Elementary and all educators check her out
A3. We have had to limit how many people are in a classroom at one time. So some of my classes are split into 2 groups which is strange that we do not get to see the whole group. #2ndchat
@MrAwesomeMullen No often they are continuous discussions on zoom due to the limited time and collaboration with others. I just find zoom to be more distracting than in person classes.
A2. Something I am finding difficult is my ability to stay focused when on zoom calls. And that makes me worried for when I start my placement tutoring and how that will go with my students. #2ndchat

@JustTeachingELA This is so important to understand! I grew up in the suburbs outside NYC and did not learn about redlining till I was in college! It is not okay for generations to start to learn about history that late! #HipHopEd
#HipHopEd Currently a junior at Elon studying elem ed. In my #EDU311 class we are challenging our understanding of US History by listening to 1619. It is so important for our students to be taught this side of the narrative so they are informed on all side of the story.
