Escaping a fundamental Oneness Pentecostal "church", Justin & Tiffany expose spiritual abuse, challenge false doctrine, and point to freedom in the true gospel.
Yesterday, we lost a dear friend.
Deanna Jo of Responsible Faith was one of the faithful voices who stood for truth long before many of us had the courage, language, or strength to speak out. For years, she used her channel to carefully and biblically expose the false doctrine and spiritual abuse within Oneness Pentecostalism. She didn’t seek attention or applause. She simply loved the truth of God’s Word and the people who were trying to find their way out of systems that twisted it.
Her diligent study helped so many of us untangle fear, confusion, and man-made holiness standards from the actual gospel. She had a gift for opening Scripture, laying things out clearly, and helping people see that freedom in Christ was available for all.
She gave so many a safe place to tell their stories, including our own. Interviewing with wisdom, tenderness, discernment, and compassion, she understood the pain of leaving, the cost of speaking up, and the long road of healing that follows. And because of that, people trusted her.
Deanna proclaimed truth without shame. She exposed error without apology. She pleaded for accountability. She cared deeply for the abused, the confused, the wounded, and the ones still trying to find their footing.
Most importantly though, she fought the good fight. She ran her race. She did not shrink back even one bit.
And now, she is present with the Lord.
Our hearts are broken for her family, her friends, and this entire community that has been helped by her courage and faithfulness. But we grieve with hope. We are grateful for her life, her voice, her work, her friendship, and the mark she left on all of us.
Well done, Deanna.
We will see you again. 🤍
We are sorry for this late notice, we will not be having an episode this morning, due to unforeseen circumstances.
Lord willing we’ll see you back here next Sunday.
We love each of you and are thankful for this community.
Have a blessed Sunday and remember you are free in Christ!

The Crazy We Called “Church” | Wild Things Pentecostal Preachers Say & Do!
We tested the strange, the questionable, and the downright BIZARRE against Scripture and asked a simple question:
Is this biblical Christianity…or have we just gotten used to the total chaos?

Don't let repetitive music or hypnotic states turn off your critical thinking in worship. True worship honors God by using your brain, thinking clearly, and maintaining your autonomy. Questioning financial manipulation or refusing to give under pressure isn't disobedience; it's using the mind God gave you.

🚨 LIVE TOMORROW 🚨
A “sacred” prayer log.
A pastor calling church women “my girls.”
A pulpit tantrum.
And somehow we were told this was normal.
Tomorrow we’re asking:
📖 Is it biblical… or just something we were trained to accept?

When all is said and done, abusive spirituality is more interested in supporting doctrines (spiritual mindsets, mentalities, ways of viewing God) than in supporting people. It is not interested in learning the true conditions in which God builds a living relationship with people-by grace, for free, to become a wellspring of inner spiritual resource. For God himself is interested in men and women finding the right way to connect with and draw life from Him.

⛪️ A church building is not the house of God.
But if a pastor can convince you it is, he can also convince you that you’re financially responsible for it.
Except, a couple questions if we may…
❓Who decided to build it?
❓Who acquired the loan?
❓Who signed the paperwork?
❓Who claimed this was God’s plan?
And whoever did, are they somehow still managing to live quite comfortably (i.e. nice houses, expensive cars and frequent vacations), while you are struggling to even make the bills?
Today, we’re talking about Apostolic Pentecostal church debt, giving campaigns, “God gave me a word” prophecies, shady loan dealings, debt-free announcements, and the ones who actually pay the price.
Church leaders try to rename it:
REVIVAL 🚫
EXPANDING THE KINGDOM ⚠️
ENLARGING & STRENGTHENING 👎🏽
But we’re exposing the truth! It’s Spiritualized Financial Abuse caused by Bigger-Barns Greed.
We will invite you to put yourself under the burden of Jesus Christ, because His yoke is easy, His burden is light, and His people were never meant to be crushed under someone else’s empire.
We’ll be in the live chat, and we hope you will be too! 🤍

There’s just something special about the “house of God”…
…but is there? Like, really??
If you grew up Pentecostal, you probably heard things like this, more than once:
🚫The sanctuary was sacred.
🚫The altar was where you got right.
🚫The building was “God’s house.”
🚫And if you missed service, you just might miss your blessing, your breakthrough, or a “move’ of God.
But is that how the New Testament talks about The Church, and its gathering? 👀
This week, we’re talking about sacred buildings, special edifices, “don’t-miss-out” fear, and why so many of us were taught to feel like God lived THERE more than He lived in US!
What if you were the temple of God, and He promised to never leave you? 🤍
Would you be ok with that kind of peace, assurance, and confidence?
🎙️If so, join us tomorrow at 10amCT, either over on YouTube (link in bio), or on your favorite podcast platform.

🌷NEW EPISODE 🌷
Join us on Mother’s Day for a closer look at the mother of modern, charismatic, Pentecostal church:
💠THE PASTOR’S WIFE 💠
A recognized, spiritual office - but not found in Scripture.
An enforcer of the system.
And….. one of its biggest casualties 💔
This episode is not about attacking women.
It’s about honestly looking at a role that can be both deeply influential… and deeply painful.
We talk about: ⚠️ soft control & manipulation ⚠️ pressure behind the scenes ⚠️ celebrity & honor culture ⚠️ spiritual hierarchy ⚠️ loneliness, burnout & impossible expectations
…and why so many people have been hurt by unhealthy leadership systems.
We will be leaving room for compassion, healing, repentance, and freedom — especially for current and former pastor’s wives who may feel trapped inside these environments.
We hope you’ll join us! 💐

🚨 NEW EPISODE!!
Holiness… but whose definition are we actually following? 👀
For so many of us, it meant rules, pressure, and constantly wondering if we were doing enough. But Scripture paints a very different picture…one that starts with what God has already done, not what we’re trying to prove.
In this episode, we break down: ✨ Holiness in Oneness Pentecostalism ✨ Holiness in the Old vs New Covenant ✨ What biblical holiness actually looks like
If you’ve ever felt exhausted trying to “be holy”… this one’s for you. 🤍

"If we were to be bound by the scruples of everyone, we could not use a modern translation of the Bible, allow a quartet to sing in the assembly, eat in a church building, let the Boy Scouts meet in our building, drink a serving of wine, put a cross on the building, lift up hands in prayer, clap hands in praise, use modern hairstyles, give money to the Red Cross, and so on without end. But few of these restrictions would be due to the scruples of the weak brother. They would come from preachers, elders, and other staunch individuals who would limit our liberty by binding their convictions on us." - Cecil Hook, Free In Christ
📢 NEW EPISODE SOON!! 📢
Join us as we tackle a word we’ve used every single week… but never actually defined:
FUNDAMENTAL or…. FUNDAMENTALISM 👀
❓What does it really mean? ⏳ Has the definition changed over time? 🥊 And… does Apostolic Pentecostalism fit the modern description?
We connect the dots between fundamentalism and legalism, showing how one creates the environment for the other to thrive 🌱
Along the way, we ask honest questions about Oneness Pentecostalism and whether its structure reflects this modern definition.
Most importantly, we point back to the gospel and remind you that your standing with God is built on Christ alone, not a system ✝️
