Anyone know what kind of #mycorrhizae these are? Second photo is 56x so they're pretty tiny. Is this what r. irregularis looks like??? This came from an attempted monoculture of funneliformis which I'm thinking got contaminated with something else. 😅
This is a long shot, but does anyone know what this root fungus is? This is a trypan blue stained rudbeckia hirta root involved in a #mycorrhizae experiment.
Anyone have an ID (or a guess!) for these pink bumpy #mycorrhizae spores? Sorry for no scale bar. In the scheme of things, I'd say they are medium to large against the average AMF spore.
Have any fungi people come across these weird clustery hyphae things? These were found during root staining of 1 yr old greenhouse-based plants inoculated with #AMF . Pic 1 is 10x, pic 2 is 20x. We are all unsure how to categorize it in the lab!
@DvRiD8f52XatGLr Agreed. And mine are just phone pictures, so you're right about the color probably not being accurate. Look at them in this picture. They definitely have a brighter orange like the ones you shared! 😊
