Through the making and distribution of reusable Grace Pads, we continue to stand with girls facing barriers such as period poverty, stigma, teenage pregnancy, and child marriage — challenges that still deny many girls the opportunity to learn and succeed.
Each hill conquered during this run symbolizes hope for a girl fighting to stay in school, reclaim her dignity, and build a brighter future.
When we invest in girls’ education, we invest in stronger families, empowered communities, and lasting change.

Day 2: Practical First Aid & Emergency Response Simulation
📍ICRC Kampala Delegation
Today is day two of the first aid and emergency response training for staff at the Kampala delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross focused on hands-on, practical simulations designed to reinforce life-saving skills in realistic workplace scenarios.
Participants engaged in structured simulation exercises replicating common workplace emergencies, including:
↪️Sudden medical incidents (such as fainting, cardiac arrest)
↪️Workplace injuries such as cuts, burns, and fractures
↪️Fire outbreak response and evacuation procedures
↪️Safe handling and transportation of injured colleagues
The simulations emphasized:
📌Rapid situation assessment and decision-making
📌Effective teamwork and communication during emergencies
📌Proper use of first aid kits and emergency equipment
📌Adherence to safety protocols within an office/workplace setup
Our training team created a dynamic learning environment where staff rotated roles, acting as responders, casualties, and observers, to ensure comprehensive understanding and active participation.
By the end of the session, participants demonstrated improved confidence and competence in:
✅️Administering immediate first aid
Coordinating emergency responses
✅️Maintaining calm and control in high-pressure situations
This practical approach ensures that staff are better prepared to respond effectively to real-life emergencies, enhancing overall workplace safety and resilience.

Building respectful communities starts early.
By involving boys in menstrual health discussions, we nurture understanding, promote dignity, and reinforce mutual respect within the school environment laying a strong foundation where they can confidently support their sisters.
Last week's engagement at Mackay Primary School created a safe space for learning, where students asked thoughtful questions about menstrual health ,breaking stigma and building confidence.
#HealthEducation#DignityForGirls#URCS
During the engagement at Mackay Primary School, @inakasiita1, Director of Communications at @UgandaRedCross, guided students on the correct use of reusable sanitary pads encouraging them to embrace their menstrual cycles with confidence, dignity, and a sense of normalcy.
#KAGIS
The @UgandaRedCross in partnership with RSM, last week supported 250 girls at Mackay Primary School in Nateete by providing them with reusable sanitary pads , to help them manage their menstrual health with dignity and remain in school without disruption.
