I should mention, I’ve literally fixed the first error in highschool, there’s a backdrop that displays for alerts that gets destroyed on input. However it appears that the backdrops code has failed and causes a catastrophic failure. My highschool ass fixed this in a java applet

Reposting because my original screenshot accidentally exposed the rider’s phone number. Uber sent me an in-app lost-item message. Opening it dimmed the screen and appeared to leave a modal overlay active, intercepting touch input, so I literally couldn’t respond.

Guess what. Since I’m active on my phone, I can’t log into my browser. All this to avoid paying me the 20$ finders fee. Jesus @Uber how stingy can you be?

I instead went to my email to get to the link. Guess what? That needed user verification! I had to log in in my chrome browser.

I have done a much better solution for this in college btw, it’s called a single use authentication link
