@realBrookNash I lean towards agreeing. Depends on what they’re “coaching” but I interviewed too many leadership/executive coaches who had never worked in large orgs, had barely led, and certainly had limited first-hand knowledge of organizational interactions.

@Daniel_Laurison I’ve only taken freshman soc, but I have an MPA in policy analysis and a lifetime of being a Black American woman with some European travel experience. What about racism and sexism is unique to the US? Colorism and anti-blackness seems pretty universal. Same with anti-femme bias

The first time I walked into my local
@OldNavy and walked out with clothes that fit, I cried. I hadn’t been able to do that in ages. I was so hopeful that this was permanent - not some trial like @LOFT. Did I buy a lot? No, but more than I would have online. #plussizefashion

@GeeDee215 So you're not wrong. But also, it's tough because 10th grade. I won't tell you the age I was (it had a 3 in front of it) when I could admit that maybe I was stuck up and the girls at church were a little justified in their dislike of me. Being a teenager is hard.

Bless @samsanders for sharing this interview with @itsgabrielleu and @RealJayWilliams. Just like both of her books she’s speaking to exactly where I am in life right now. In the first 5 minutes she perfectly described how I’ve been feeling but couldn’t express.
