When Lou Piniella joined the Yankees in 1974 George Steinbrenner told him to cut his hair, it was too long.
If you don't know the Yankees had a policy on no beards or long hair.
Lou Piniella said this...
"Our Lord Jesus Christ was the greatest person who ever lived and he had long hair".
George Steinbrenner then took him across the street to a swimming pool down in Florida and said, "If you can walk across that water, you can wear your hair any way you want to"
@VIOCOfficial in case you thought I was lying. This is going on another 40 minute oil change still in line. I did mess up I guess technically this is Redford not Dearborn Heights like o said in my previous post.
@VIOCOfficial waiting in line 38 minutes at Dearborn Heights now and they’re still not done with the original cars that I got here with. “Instant” has a new time I guess
Just a sports peeve of mine. Can’t we have the coaches go out there for the OT flip. We have these players go out and just look over to coaches on what to do, especially on the question of which way do you want to defend. Just get the coaches out there to answer these questions
@EvanRobertsWFAN can we have coaches go out for the coin toss for OT. I feel like the players when they ask them which way to kick never know how to answer.
Fun Fact: At my wedding this year the DJ played Sweet Caroline. I ran over to the DJ and made him change the song 20 seconds into it. Was not gonna happen on my watch.
“Billie. This is the Yankees bullpen. It is Full of guys who have talent, throw hard, and keep batters off balanced. Their only deficiency is that they suck.” #Yankees
