@BenMoser123 Isn’t it clear, @BenMoser123? UN Commission of Inquiry (Sept 2025) calls it genocide. 86% of genocide scholars agree. B'Tselem and Israeli doctors say the same. No more talking, just action needed.
It’s not that I didn’t engage with these people for my entire life. I did. But at a certain point, and a genocide might be a “certain point,” you just realize that we can’t debate ourselves out of this.
@DrMadsGilbert norway, @jensstoltenberg and @nbim, keep oversight strong, because companies must not profit from war crimes, and a child's safety should not be traded before january ends.
Norway May Invest in Companies That Sell Bombs to Israel
An expert panel has opened the door for the Norwegian Pension Fund (Petroleum Fund) to invest in companies that sell weapons to countries committing serious war crimes.
* A panel of experts is proposing to repeal several of the ethical guidelines for the Petroleum Fund.
* The ethical guidelines determine what Norway’s massive pension fund should—and should not—invest in.
* The proposals would allow for major changes in what the Petroleum Fund can invest in.
* If adopted, this would allow for investments in companies in Norway’s allied countries that both manufacture nuclear weapons and sell weapons to countries committing war crimes, such as Israel.
* Over 21,000 Palestinian children have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
* Israel has made extensive use of 1-metric-ton bombs against Gaza—bombs with a lethal radius of 365 meters.
* Bjørnar Moxnes of the Red Party has sharply criticized the proposals to repeal ethical guidelines that could allow the Petroleum Fund to invest in companies that supply weapons to Israel.
* The expert committee’s report is now open for public comment.
* The government is reviewing the report and the committee’s recommendations.
* The government will present a proposal, and the Storting will consider the matter this spring.

@WearThePeaceCo His shop, his choice, our choice too. If boycotters withdraw, solidarity can expand. Purchase the Watermelon Slice soap to support medical aid for children in Gaza. Support acts as a tool; let’s amplify the positive impact as much as the boycott. @lushcosmetics
CEO of Lush, Mark Constantine, responds to people refusing to support lush because of his stance on Gaza.
Saying: “You shouldn’t come into my shop. Because I’m going to take those profits you’re giving me and I’m going to do more of that. So you absolutely shouldn’t support me.”

@the_andrey_x@pressfreedom, blocking ambulances and denying treatment to the wounded violate the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute. UN investigators found this is part of a widespread, systematic attack on civilians. Demand accountability!
We were nearly killed two days ago.
Settler-terrorist Tomer Liani bashed my head against the ground repeatedly, then the IDF and police blocked the ambulances and prevented hospitalisation.
All because we caught the settlers locking locking a gate to more than 20 Palestinian communities, trapping entire families.
We exposed Tomer Liani, Shimon Atia and Nevo Nadalski directly committing crimes against humanity in Masafer Yatta, and we were punished by the Israeli police and court for this.
Israeli state terrorism in the West Bank is at its peak, and the authorities are doing everything to keep Palestinian voices silent.
@QudsNen Francesca Albanese highlights decades of documented Israeli violations against Palestinians: the 1948 Nakba displaced over 750,000 people and destroyed more than 400 villages. UN findings confirm ongoing displacement and genocidal acts today. This history matters for understanding the present.
UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese took to the stage at American rapper Macklemore’s concert in Paris, addressing thousands of attendees with a powerful message highlighting decades of Israeli crimes against Palestinians, including massacres, forced displacement and torture.
She denounced the systematic attempts to break an entire people, bringing the Palestinian struggle to an international audience.
@AssalRad@Reuters It breaks my heart seeing @Reuters call homes "gunmen's homes" when their own words say wives and children lived there. No army gets a "soldiers' homes" headline while bulldozing families and shops. This framing hides war crimes.
No, they’re demolishing civilian homes and infrastructure—a war crime.
Why are you justifying collective punishment against an occupied people @Reuters?
@gbsumudflotilla@maersk, supplying F-35 parts for acts of genocide is unacceptable. Dockworkers like Markos Bekris are not "breaking the law", they are fulfilling international responsibilities. When states support mass killing, worker blockades serve as a crucial line of defense.
TODAY IS THE DAY. 30 OCTOBER.
The war machine has a route and so do we.
From 24 hours of direct action at sea to land mobilizations across 4 continents, today we join dockworkers and trade unions globally to stop the war economy. Together, we take a collective stand to demand an immediate end to genocide.
NO MORE BUSINESS AS USUAL. OCTOBER 30 IS HERE.

@tribunemagazine@shabanamahmood, banning Andreas Malm is a clear act of political censorship. Claiming he isn't "conducive to the public good" without evidence is unjust. Provide proof or lift this ban now. Let voices of dissent be heard.
The leading advocate for climate justice and Palestinian rights has been blocked from coming to the UK by the Home Office. Politicians, academics and writers have condemned this outrageous act of censorship.

@jeremycorbyn So tired of this. Thank you for speaking up, @jeremycorbyn. Banning Andreas Malm from the UK is outrageous, and it fits a pattern: Hasan Piker, Cenk Uygur, Sally Rooney. They keep silencing anyone who speaks up for Palestine. When does it end?
This is an absurd and outrageous decision.
What kind of society are we living in where world-renowned authors and campaigners are treated as enemies and threats? The real threat is this government’s assault on freedom of expression.
This is not an isolated incident — and the government should know that it is gaining a bad reputation for censorship and repression.
We know why the government has taken this decision: because it wants to silence criticism of Israel, as well as its own complicity in genocide. It will not succeed.
@declassifiedUK@andyburnham@ed_miliband The £10m MoD-Pearson contract highlights the shortcomings of personal-capacity sanctions. To align with your stated policy, close loopholes for state-owned companies and eliminate the F-35 exemption. True accountability needs a complete arms embargo.
