Some photos from our first ever #CherryBlossomFestival in Merville Garden Village, celebrating Hanami (with the Japanese Society NI), our amazing blossom collection and our wonderful community. 🌸
Thanks to our residents’ association, @ANBorough, vendors and visitors.
Very informative visit to Omagh, gaining insights on: people and place; the town’s rich natural assets and future opportunity sites; the council’s community planning and spatial planning leads driving the new local ‘Place-Shaping Plan’. Excited to be working with @fermanaghomagh
Great to be visiting Omagh, discussing new ‘Place-Shaping Plan’ with @fermanaghomagh staff - and how our students will complement this work - and exploring the assets and opportunities in the town centre. Special thanks to Siobhan, Alan, Kim and Kieran.

Such a joy to be back out and about again with students, visiting places and discussing the value of place with those who live there - and no better place to do this than in Northern Ireland’s more significant garden village! Community stewardship in action.
This morning @grafferty & I took @PRD_UlsterUni students to Merville Garden Village to see what they have been learning in class about the origins of planning and the garden city movement - thanks to our brilliant contributor @Drumnadrough - Stephen, Catherine & Barbara!
