Have a few minutes to spare this weekend? If you've packed away your boat or fishing kit until spring, why not check that it's properly clean and dry so that you don't risk transferring any #invasivespecies to your favourite spots when you use it again!
@DavidMdma0 Hi David, the hot weather this year warmed the water which caused some algae to develop. As the cold weather sets in this will subside. We are monitoring the condition closely. There is no risk to water quality or fish health.
Just out at Grafham Water to inspect my bird ringing net rides and was greeted by these fantastic Highlands. I think they have gone into the scrub either side of the net ride!!

Wow, what a lovely sunset over @GrafhamWater1 🌅 Did you know that Graham Water is England's third largest reservoir? Thanks to Poppy Cornell for this beautiful photo 📸
@sarajcox@BBCiPlayer You would be more than welcome to have a go at catching some trout. We can organise some tuition, tackle and a boat if you fancy it. Bring your family or friends too!
In this hot weather it can be tempting to take a cooling dip in your local reservoir but there can be lots of hidden dangers that are not visible from the water's edge ⚠️ Stay safe this summer and don't swim in reservoirs ⚠️
Wow what a great shot of Grafham Water reservoir in Cambridgeshire taken by John Bower! Please enjoy our reservoirs but remember to stay safe, do not enter the water and take your litter with you.
Some nice birds recently at @GrafhamWater1. Looks like the dam is the place to be if you're a wader! (or a bird watcher). Thanks to everyone for sending in your sightings. @wildlifebcn@CambsBirdClub
