@INOTEnews It is not students fault that some of their teachers feel caught out ...and presumably some adjustment will be made when it is corrected but it doesn't make sense to all those teachers who prepared for all areas of the syllabus ...that some teachers simply did not do so .

@INOTEnews I agree that there isn't enough time for students to showcase their full ability in the exam but after 34 years teaching I am at a complete loss as to why any student wouldn't be prepared for a short story question or indeed a play extract question both are on the syllabus

@Kerensd Where as we need to be wise in the books we use in schools and cautious in what we buy for and recommend to children ...I think we must not underestimate any childs ability to have a wise conversation around a book .This this book has spawned many wise conversations.

@philipnolan1 On Thursday I will have the privilege of dining with my mother ,father siblings ,my children and niece and nephew on the occasion of my mother's 90th .Teatotal parents bore wine loving children .We will raise a glass in thanks for having them still .
